best veg restaurants in Oakland/everywhere

I would encourage people to continue to share their views/reviews with others

when asked, but even more important (in my opinion) is to officially

review/rate the restaurant in the Ultimate Guide. (see below for

directions on how to post a review)

 

This information is centralized (so it's all in one place) and easy for people

to use/find. mailing list is great to share/communiate but it's not

so easy to find information once it's more than a few days past.

 

Ital Calabash (which Bill recommended) has only 1 review, whereas Golden Lotus

is ranked in the Top Ten per user reviews. So, for folks not familiar, GL

may seem a safer choice perhaps because it has a heavier weight of good

reviews.

 

So take a few minutes and share a review -- it's not worth any points in the

Advocacy Rewards Program :-) BUT it is a good way to support your favorite

restaurants offering veggie foods, and to share them w/others. There are almost

700 reviews in UG so far, and they will become more representative as more

people rate.

 

Plus, we will also be using the review score in the Ultimate Guide to nominate

restaurants in our BEST OF VEG contest which will launch later this month.

This is our 3rd year sponsoring this contest, and as always, it'll be

an online survey to record your opinions. We'll send out an announcement when

voting starts.

To post a review in the Ultimate Guide

 

1) You need a userid on the BAVEG website. This userid is distinct and

separate from any other userids that you may have on , Hotmail, etc. It

can be the same if you like. You can register for free.

2) Find the restaurant you want to review in the Ultimate Guide

3) In the listing for each business, there is a button called " review " . Select

that to do your review, log in, and you're all set!

 

This BAVEG website userid is used in our forums as well as doing user

reviews in the Ultimate Guide.
