Guest guest
Here's a short report on the LWP at Berkeley on 08/16. Present at the party were Sara, Veena, Roberta, Jessica, Paul, Bob, (and a couple of other guys' names I forget. I'm sorry guys, I didn't know there would be a quiz!), and yours truly. The food was fabulous. They (Fellini) set aside a separate area for us to enjoy the dinner and write letters. They made vegan pizza on request, and given the fact that 3 large pizzas were polished off rapidly, one can hypothesize that they were very tasty. Not being vegan, I ordered linguini pomodoro, which was very good too. Then we got down to business and cranked out letters. Each letter was a masterpiece (at least mine were worthy contenders of the Bullwer-Lytton Prize), and sure to get a response from the intended recipients. Around 8:30 the group started to dissolve, and I headed out towards Telegraph Ave for a few rounds of beer. This was my first LWP; I'm new to the area (and got lost driving back to San Carlos; but that could have been because of the Telegraph Ave detour). I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'm really looking forward to the others. Ajay
