Guest guest
Hi, everyone, The house we're renting has termites, and the landlord asked us to look into exterminators. Does anyone know if there's something that can be done to control termites besides killing them all off? Or doing as little damage to the environment as possible? I've heard about heat and cold treatments, but I don't know much about them. If you have recommendations on people to call, I'd love to hear them. Thanks! Guest guest
Sorry, no on the termites...but I accidently discovered how to humanely eliminate fruit flies or gnats. ....and I had allot of them lately for some reason. I didn't want to put my fruit in the fridge as it ruins the summery taste of them, IMO I wrapped some fruit in a dish with saran wrap and accidently left it on the counter. when I came back a half a day later I discovered the little guys had wriggled their way under the wrap! They were essentially trapped in there...but frankly they must of thought they were in heaven with that yummy sweet 1/2 a peach in there with theem! So I just picked up the dish took it outside opened the wrap and they were free to roam the land far and wide for more fruits and other splendid things! Of course I started really keeping all things cleaned and no food out anywhere before this...even in the garbage disposal. I am inclined to think that if we can trap an insect we can set it free. try to find out what they like and give it to em. Just some ideas that I hope help.
