Guest guest
Someone emailed me about a rescue group who is rescuing some battery cage hens on Sunday in Gilroy. They are taking 100, but there are thousands. They are looking for people to give them homes. The rest go to slaughter. These hens make great pets (animal companions). I had several and became very attached to them. They would talk to me, knew their names very quickly, liked to be held and petted, and were so happy to run around after the confined life they were given. They seemed very grateful, even. Let me know if you can take some. Even if you are in the city, you can have hens, by the way. Most cities allow them. It's not hard to create a chicken house and run for three hens. You can even add a door to a wood doghouse, which is very cute, and there you go! Also, if you want guilt-free eggs for yourself or family members who eat them, here's your chance. I can help you with all the information you need about how to care for and house them. There is even a pet chicken group you can join to support you!
