RE: veg friendly restaurant in San Carlos

There is a vegetarian-friendly restaurant in San Carlos that is not on the BAVS list called Saffron. They serve Indian food, and at least half, if not more, of their dishes are vegetarian. I do not know how many dishes are vegan or if they use separate cookery. There food is quite good, and they have a daily lunch buffet and a dinner buffet on Tuesday and Sunday evenings. The majority of the buffet dishes are vegetarian. I ate there today and counted 11 vegetarian dishes and three meat dishes. They are located at 1143 San Carlos Avenue 650-593-4269.

I will add them to the BAVS list for future reference.

Of course we prefer going to all vegan/vegetarian restaurants, but as ithas been discussed there aren't any on the peninsula, and it is notalways feasible to drive into SF for lunch or dinner. Otherwise, ourfavorites are Bok Choy on Clement, Herbivore and Milennium.Elaine
