Guest guest
Hi, A woman has to find loving homes for 15 one and two year old hens that are all different breeds. Some of them lay blue or green eggs. They are healthy. If you eat eggs, in my humble opinion, the only way you can assure that you have humanely produced eggs is to keep your own hens. I already have 30, and if I don't find homes for these, I'll have a lot more. I adore chickens. They are always happy and have such great personalities. Their feathers are very soft and fluffy, and they are quite beautiful. They can become very bonded to you. The chickens at my house follow me and the dogs everywhere, and have lots to say to me! To me, they are no different than having a dog or cat, besides the fact that they're naturally vegetarian (if you don't count the bugs)! Let me know if you're interested. You would need a chicken house and run that's predator-proof. When hens lay eggs, they can be a little loud, so you need a location where people don't care or they can't hear it (my coops are double- wall construction and insulated). I'm zoned agricultural, so I can keep lots of chickens, but I'd rather have fewer and give them more personal attention. Thanks, Cheryl
