Seeking Graphic Design Volunteer for Veg/AR organization

Compassionate Cooks (http://www.compassionatecooks.org), an Oakland-based nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering people to make informed food choices and to debunking myths about vegetarianism through monthly cooking classes, nutrition workshops, and a cooking DVD, is in need of a volunteer(s) who can design web banners as well as offline graphics for posters.

 

Web banners are to increase Internet presence of our work, and the offline graphics are for potential newspaper/magazine ads that raise awareness about the exploitation of animals raised for food. The graphics would be used for posters, flyers, and any other materials to spread awareness about human mis-treatment of non-human animals.

 

Other Compassionate Cooks volunteers can attest to the monthly goodies they receive as "gratitude payment" for volunteering for us. I'm happy to put you in touch with them for referrals (if they're not too busy munching on their homemade chocolate chip cookies.) Please respond to colleen if you are interested. We can chat on the phone about details, but I think this is work you would enjoy very much if you are a graphic artist and interested in using your talents to help animals.
