Guest guest
In the IDA e-newsletter this week, we reported that the closure of a dog racing track in Plainfield, Conn. would leave hundreds of dogs in need of homes, and that people interested in adopting a greyhound should contact Greyhound Pets of America. We were subsequently informed that dogs from the Plainfield Race Track have actually been released to Greyhound Friends, a non-profit based in Hopkinton, Mass. If you are interested in adopting one of the dogs from the Plainfield Race Track, you can get on a waiting list by calling (508) 435-5969. You can also visit Greyhound Friends online at www.greyhound.org for more information. Moreover, you can help the Plainfield greyhounds by adopting a dog from your local shelter or humane society, which will free up much needed space to help another needy animal. You can find animal shelters and humane societies in your area by logging on to www.pets911.com or www.petfinder.com.
