This month, Rainbow has 20% off coupon on bulk items. The coupons are in the back of the SF yellow pages. (every month there's a new coupon) The coupons are best if used by NEW customers. If all the regular customers come with too many coupons, they will loose their normal profits.

(The last time I used my coupon, I bought things I normally wouldn't of purchased. However, at 20% off, I'm not sure they made any profit out of my purchase.)

The coupons also, will bring customers into their "IN CONSTRUCTION" store.

Rainbow is also trying to outreach, LOCAL, Hispanic customers.

Rainbow spent money advertising in Hispanic TV. They even hired a few Hispanic cashiers. (I'm not sure if they are still there)

During the times I shopped there, I didn't see too many Hispanic customers.

Basically, everyone needs to be educated on why we should spend more money on high quality and organic products (maybe Fair Trade).... rather than inexpensive, chemically laced cheap food somewhere else..

If all farmers farm organically,,,like the OLD days,,, organic produce can be inexpensive

Last night's lecture with Dr. Cousen in SF, was packed with 46 people.

The event was from 7-11pm. A lot of promotion was also done by the Yoga community.

Friday's Shabbat's event was the opposite, barely anyone was there. Even though the event came with organic grape juice, singing and dancing.... for some reason, it wasn't well attended.
