A SUPER-SWEET 'PROBLEM' DOGS LAST CHANCE!

 

Booker is a super sweet 5 y/old pitbull mix who needs a true home.

Because of behavioral issues, finding a home for him has proved supremely

difficult, and I can no longer care for him. I've set a two week limit on

how much longer I can house and care for him, so please forward widely so

that other options develop besides Animal Care and Control, where there

is a good chance he would be killed!

 

First, the issues: He has a history of fear based biting, handling

sensitivity from being attacked by dogs several times, and some

predicatable dog aggression (leashes/fences/small dogs). Though some of

these issues are products of genetics and some are from environment, they

can all be mediated through CONSISTENT TRAINING. And Booker is highly

responsive to training! In fact, all he wants is to please, as was

apparent while attending a doggie behavior class.

 

Booker is a super sweet dog that needs a STABLE HOME, and a CONSISTENT

partner to love and be loved by. He is fixed, housetrained, clever, good

with indoor cats, and VERY affectionate with those he knows. He loves to

run, and is good with most other dogs (of equal size, and neutered). Above

all he is a dog that if given the chance, the attention and care, will

blossom into one of the finest friends ever.

 

Please give Booker a chance! Transitioning him into a new and permanent

home will take some time, but as he adjusts and sees that his new family

just wants to love and treat him right, Booker will shine!
