Guest guest
Late spring/summer and wonderful times to host outdoor Vegan Food Parties! Usually these months see Bay Area Vegetarians having more of them outdoors. Although it's easy for Chris and I to get to most parts of the bay area, we really like having vegan events that are convenient to us. Of course, what is convenient to us isn't necessarily convenient for everyone else. But, if everyone organizes and hosts what is convenient and interesting to them, then it should work out. Chris and I are planning to host two VFPs this year in our neck of the woods (San Mateo coastside) so I would encourage everyone to think about organizing one in their neighborhood, too. If you're new to event organizing or need help or suggestions, please email me directly. You can find some info here, too: http://www.bayareaveg.org/eventinfo.htm If you follow a living foods/raw or McDougall diet, you are welcome to encourage a VFP that would focus on those foods. All VFP hosts automatically qualify to become Veggie Important People. http://www.bayareaveg.org/vip.php (On soapbox) The bottom line for me, and I think for all of us, is to contribute and create the type of events and community that we like. Chris & I will be at the Wedn dinner at Bok Choy Garden in SF and hope to see many of you there!
