Hey All,

There's a lot going on these days in animal activism: this past Thursday's demo at the Korean Expo, Sunnyvale KFC protest and Chinese Moon Bear fundraiser today, veal protest and Sacto KFC demo on Mother's Day, Peaceable Kingdom screening this coming Thursday in Marin, and an Oakland KFC feed-in this coming Saturday. These are all great events to attend. And if you attend one or more, can write a report on them and bring a camera to visually document the event(s), even better. Share your " news " with other animal activists in the Bay Area and beyond.

Everyone can make media and be a reporter at Indybay (http://www.indybay.org/). It's an open-publishing website where all activists are welcome to post reports, photos, video, and audio of their activities. These reports first show up in the Indybay newswire in the right-hand column of the site. It's okay if you do not have photos to share, people would still like to read about your experiences. And don't worry if someone else has already published something on an event you attended -- it's always " the more the merrier " at Indybay, as further coverage helps round out the picture from different perspectives. (For instance, check out the number of reports and photos on these anti-war demonstrations: http://www.indybay.org/archives/archive_by_id.php?id=3021&category_id=18.) Newswire reports that show in the right-hand column are then turned into center-column features by the website's editors to more prominently highlight your efforts for the animals.

To make your own media, just go to http://www.indybay.org/publish.php, copy/paste your pre-written report and upload any photos you might have (resized to about 450px wide). Ask me for help if you need it.

Of course, feel free to announce any future events on Indybay's very popular calendar by going to http://www.indybay.org/calendar/event_display_add.php -- just be sure to select Animal Lib as theme.

thanx

peace,

david
