Genetically Modified Mislabeled (on channel 5) as Labeled

Here's the deal:

On tonight's 6 o'clock news, the blond woman doing a segment on cloned cows said that " we " (the U.S.) label genetically engineered foods. This is blatantly false.

 

Please call the station at (415) 362-5550 to tell them you want this false statement corrected on the air. The woman was answering a question from Bob Scheiffer (sp?) about labeling of cloned cow meat/dairy if and when it gets on our market shelves. She answered, " I assume so, since we label genetically engineered food " .

 

Letting this go uncorrected is misleading the viewers into believing that our food is what it seems, when we are actually being lied to with lies of omission all the time. Europe labels GMO food- let's catch up!!
