Heading towards the two year anniversary of this

monthly event, Bay Area Vegetarians invites you to

bring your friends and come join us, or come join us

to meet new friends, at one of Oakland's best

vegetarian (vegan)restaurants.

To insure your spot at the group table, please RSVP

via direct reply or by going to the event listings

page at the Bay Area Vegetarians website.

Drop-ins are welcome on a space available basis.

Sunday April 17th, 2005 at 6PM.

New World Vegetarian Restaurant

464-8th Street

Downtown Oakland

(510)444-2891

We will be ordering off the menu; sharing dishes as

a group is encouraged and appreciated, but not

mandatory. Prices range from appetizers at $2.95 to

$4.95, and entrees from $5.95 to $10.95. Tab for

shared meals has run between $13-$18 each, including

tax and tip, depending on whether we order drinks and

desserts that night.

New World's high ceilings, airy interior, well-spaced

and richly polished dark wood tables and shiny parquet

floor make for a very pleasant environment. They have

an extensive menu, with Vietnamese,Thai, Mexican,

Brazilian, and Indian-inspired dishes, with choice to

meet every taste.

The food gets high recommendations for its

presentation, texture, flavors, and aroma. Meals are

prepared with homemade sauces that use seasalt, are

free from MSG, and are low in oil. Vegan desserts made

on the premises and offsite by Black China Bakery are

available.

Looking forward to meeting up with new and old

friends for community, conversation, and delicious

vegan food. Easy BART (12th Street Station) and AC

Transit bus access. Hope to see you there.
