Guest guest
This is short notice, but a couple of us will be outside the Metreon in SF tomorrow (Friday) night from around 8pm showing footage of how animals are treated on factory farms and in slaughterhouses and distributing information about vegetarianism. RAIN WILL CANCEL. Please let me know if you’re interested in coming on Friday, or if you can’t make it on Friday but you’re interested in doing this some other time. This is really fantastic activism—people come up to *you* instead of you chasing them down trying to hand them a leaflet—and they are appalled at the treatment of the animals. People have hugged us and thanked us and told us they will never eat meat again. Each person who goes vegetarian as a result of our actions saves (according to one estimate) 83 animals/year. Just as importantly, they will reach hundreds of people in their lives who will know one more vegetarian—great advertising for vegetarianism as long as we don’t blow it (by being jerks or unhealthy or something!). They will also increase the demand for veg products, which will enable everyone to eat fewer animal products. I hope you can be there—if not for tomorrow than for some other time. The Metreon is at the corner of 4th and Mission Sts in San Francisco. If we’re not there by the time you get there, we’re just looking for parking, so hang tight, but feel free to call at 415-710-7351. Remember, we cannot to this in the rain, as it could ruin the tv. Thanks, Nora
