A friend of mine who is a regular at Mother Nature sent this to me

last night. She raves about the place because not only is it vegan,

but also organic.

Mother Nature Vegetarian

843 San Pablo Ave

Albany, CA 94706

(510) 528-5388

Delicious, organic, vegan Chinese food.

Listen to the hostess, she won't steer you wrong.

The steamed spring rolls, the salad and the

tofu skins were very delicious.

I can't wait to go back again.

Closed on Mondays.

Mother's might have to close in a month due to lack of business.

If you haven't tried it now is the time. Please spread the word.

I know Bob has hosted a couple of events there and I attended one that had about 20 people... Like some have shared on the list or commented in the Ultimate Guide, overall impression seems favorable...

Maybe all the people who are big fans of this restaurant, and those that live close to the Albany location, should get together on a regular basis for an event there? While one event won't save the restaurant, it will help bring it to others attention and word-of-mouth is a good form of advertising.. For some of the Bay Area Veg monthly dinners, supporting an all-veg restaurant was one of the reason why the host selected the spot plus the host just liked the food and wanted to create an opportunity to socialize with others.

This is always the dilemma when dining out -- as a vegan, should I support & dine at mostly vegan restaurants (which has a smaller customer base)? Or, is it having a greater effect if I dine at an omni restaurants, which demonstrates a demand for more vegan foods. By having more vegan foods on a menu, it makes it easier for folks to order vegan without asking.

And of course the advantage of eating at an all veg restaurant is that reduces the risk of having non-veg items show up in your food... It does happen, no matter how careful we are, and how often we tell the wait person what we want.
