Guest guest
I have to agree with those who have raved about Fellini, the new restaurant at 1401 University in Berkeley. I went there on Saturday for brunch, and it was great. The owner really wants to build his vegan clientele, so I'm sure he would be open to other vegan menu suggestions if you have some. As it was, the selection of vegan items was good. My favorite things: The menu states all vegan dishes are prepared in " vegan-only " pans. That is always a concern when eating in a restaurant that is not completely vegan. Can't wait to return to try the pizza with Follow Your Heart cheese. Guest guest
Ditto. I went there last weekend and had the vegan pizza with the Follow Your Heart Vegan Cheese and it was good. It didn't have any sauce though, which I'll ask them to add next time, but it was good. We had the same experience with the owner (or manager?), who came over to our table to talk to us about their vegan options and wanting to make it accesible to vegans. I think we should support them. I plan to go back soon for brunch, so if anyone else wants to carpool from the South Bay let me know. FYI--I know this isn't relevant to the Bay Area, but if anyone is ever in the San Fernando Valley/Canoga Park (just outside of LA), you have to go to Follow Your Heart (the place that makes the vegan cheese). They are an incredible vegetarian market and restaurant. They are very vegan friendly. I just moved here and miss it.
