Guest guest
I've posted here before, but haven't gotten a lot of responses. I'm trying again. I am looking for a great place in Temescal, North Oakland, West Oakland, South Berkeley or basically anywhere else in the Oakland/Berkeley flat-or-mostly-flat-lands. I'm a socially/environmentally/animally-conscious 31 year-old woman who works in the non-profit sector, volunteers and freelances as a radio journalist, and studies massage. I bike most places, practice (albeit sporadically) mindfulness meditation. I'm vegan. I'm a nice person. A funny person. Responsible, dependable, respectful, and always (always!) pay my rent on time. No kidding. I'm looking for a 1 bedroom cottage, in-law, or other apartment with access to a nice yard and laundry on-site. A studio probably won't work for me, unless it's very large. Nice neighbors are important. So is a good kitchen with a gas stove. I prefer hardwood floors over carpeted, tile over linoleum (obviously this is not a deal-breaker). I am not given to having loud or large parties. I am given to having a friend or two or three over for dinner. I come with one 2 year-old dog who is a medium-sized mutt type. She's non-destructive, really sweet, really good with kids, and generally quiet, though she does sometimes bark at dogs going by. I'm working with her on this behavior and seeing some good results. So, this is not a huge issue, especially if the place doesn't face the street. And, even if it does, there are ways to work this out (she's crate-trained, for example). I am a very responsible dog person. With me also come two 12 year-old cats. They are currently indoor cats, and can stay that way, if preferred, or they can become indoor-outdoor cats (which they would like), depending on the environment. I can pay up to $900, including water and garbage, for the ideal place. This is the top of my budget. I would, of course, prefer to pay less (like $700). I have a lot of non-profit management experience, so if you're looking for someone to be an on-site manager of your property (maybe you live abroad?), I'd be an especially good tenant. My move date is flexible. Please let me know if you have something great. Thanks very much. Sandra Mail - Easier than ever with enhanced search.
