The hearing on herbicide use in Oakland (to control fire danger),

scheduled for March 8 before the Public Works Committee, was cancelled

at the last minute. Some expected reports had not been turned in on

time, reportedly. As a result, this item has been rescheduled for March

22 (a Tuesday), 12:30pm, in Hearing Room One, Oakland City Hall.

Committee members aare Jean Quan, Desley Brooks, Henry Chang, Jr. and

Nancy Nadel.

Use of pesticides/herbicides nearly always has a negative impact on the

environment and the wildlife. Attend this important hearing and let

your voice be heard.

QUESTIONS: Office of the Oakland City Clerk, 510/238-7370.
