Fresh air, cool ocean breezes, miles of clean sandy beaches, with new & old veg friends & delicious vegan food .. please join Bay Area Vegetarians for this weekend retreat. These multi-day group trips are wonderful ways to connect with the local veg community, and start or continue both new & old friendships.

We have once again reserved the popular Sweetwood campsite, the only group campsite at Half Moon Bay State Beach. Spring and fall are the best seasons on the coast, so we're having the trip in the Spring this year, to avoid the summer fog. Our large campsite is on the bluffs above the beach, half-ringed with cypress trees.

For aspiring or experienced vegetarians, these trips are wonderful ways to explore vegetarian foods, participate in making delicious vegan meals (a cooking class every day!), and just plain fun to hang out with like-minded folks in a beautiful and relaxing beach setting.

What: Beach camping tripWhen: Friday, May 20 thru Sunday, May 22Where: Half Moon Bay State Beach (~20 miles south of SF)

Full details for beach camping trip: http://www.bayareaveg.org/camp_hmb05.htm Note: This is a car-camping trip.

While the campsite can accomodate up to 50 people, we're planning to limit the trip to about 30 people. To encourage early reservations, sign-up now for the best price on the trip!

From last year's trips, someone who's been veg for many years, but last year was his first-time camping with us, was just amazed by the gourmet quality of food that we enjoyed.

As an organization, and just our personal commitment, we are especially interested in connecting/supporting aspiring or new vegetarians, so if you are in that category and considering this trip, we would highly encourage it! We would be happy to talk with you more about the camping trips via email or if you see us at an upcoming event (like the Erik Marcus event on Sunday), just ask.

See the BAV Event Calendar for more veg & advocacy events...http://www.bayareaveg.org/events.php
