Guest guest
Hey Veggie hikers!! Please join me this Saturday, March 5th for a hike at Butano State Park (pronounced "byoo-tin-oh"). This will be an 11 mile round trip hike with approx 1300 ft of elev. change. Butano State Park is approximately 17 miles south of Half Moon Bay near the town of Pescadero. Here are the directions to the meeting place: From Hwy 1 in Half Moon Bay, drive south for 17 miles to the Pescadero Rd turnoff. Turn left (east) and drive 2.5 miles to Cloverdale Rd. Turn right on Cloverdale Rd and drive 4.2 miles to the park entrance. Turn left and drive .75 mile to the entrance kiosk. Park in the small lot just beyond it. Look for my blue Volvo with some healthy veg*ns standing around. There's a $4 fee per vehicle. Sorry, but dogs are not allowed. Meet @10:30. We'll set off down the trail by 11am. Back to the cars @5pm. Bring water, lunch, sturdy shoes, and vegan snacks to share. My hikes tend to be pretty casual, with lots of time to admire nature. Tree hugging, slug admiring, and bird watching all encouraged. RSVP's would be helpful, so that we'll know whether to expect you. If the weather is questionable, call me in the morning at 415-317-4771 to confirm, or if you have any other questions. I hope to see you there!! P.S. I can offer a couple of people a ride from SF. Contact me if interested. Jeff* * * * * * *Let nature heal you.
