Alicia, glad you posted this! What did you have in mind? Is anyone else planning local Meatout events? We should definitely make sure to post them to the local lists so folks know what is happening and can participate. Bay Area Vegetarians has 4 special events this month for meat-out 3/6 - Erik Marcus, Meat Market: Animals, Ethics, and Money presentation/book tour, in SF 3/13 - Pacifica: outreach & tabling 3/19 - Pacifica: free screening of Emotional World for Farmed Animals, with yummy vegan snacks 3/20 - SF: someting involving leafleting and the flat screen TV I am working on the Pacifica event with some other coastsiders and Nora is organizing the SF event. I've also heard that Paris is tabling at the Sunvalley Mall in Concord and welcomes volunteers and I think that is also the date of EBAA's KFC demo in Oakland. Cheers, Tammy Be Active with BAV! Yes I could use some help leafletting and handing out vegan treats and $ off coupons!!! Ok to do all hours or any portion of that time slot would be helpful.
