defending PETA (was PETA: Lab Rats over Sick Kids)

Something similar to this came up during a Q & A session at the PETA Helping Animals 101 conference.

 

Basically, there will always be some people / organizations who do not like PETA. Someone in the audience asked how they should respond in this situation.

 

I don't remember exactly how Bruce Friedrich (from PETA) phrased it, but he basically said we should not "waste our time" defending PETA. PETA does what they do to get headlines, make people think about issues, etc. What I took away from it was that they would rather we spend our time more productively / effectively on other issues.

I think this ad-campaign is going to help our cause rather than hurt it!!!

It will bring more attention, debate, conversation...and probably more ad campaigns from PETA...!!
