To All Who Care About Their Health:

For those of you who missed the great event hosted by the SF Vegetarian Society on Feb. 19, I just want to fill you in. Dr. Nana Kwaku Opare, MD, MPH, CA, Founder/Director of Conscious LIving Institute gave a very convincing talk about "conscious living" and subscribing to a living (raw) food diet (plant-based, of course). You can check out the web site at:

Also, for more info on living food, check out:

A brief bio on Dr. Opare follows:

-------------------------

Nana Kwaku Opare, MD, MPH, CAFounder, Medical DirectorNationally known and respected, Dr. Opare is the West Coast’s leading authority in Nutritional Medicine. His concept of The Guidebook for Healthy Living is revolutionizing the Hygienic Medicine field. With professional degrees from the University of California in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics, Public Health and Medicine, and in Acupuncture and Traditional from the San Francisco College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He is a long-term advocate for Vegan eating patterns and is active in the Raw/Living food movement. Dr. Opare understands we each have the innate and inborn ability to heal all illnesses, dis-eases, and injuries, limited only by our belief system and thoughts. “I see my role as a guide who helps you reconnect with, regain faith in and empower your divinely given instinctual and intuitive healing wisdom/intelligence”.

By the way, Dr. Opare stated that since he has been on a plant-based living food diet (starting about ten months ago) - he has lost about twenty pounds, looks ten years younger, has more energy, requires less sleep, etc. And I can say that for a man who is pushing fifty years old, Dr. Opare looked more like thirty-something.

Anyhow, food for thought, as well as body.
