Guest guest
I am so excited to let all of you know (and yes, Tammy, I'm going to post an UG review) that there is a DELICIOUS Puerto Rican restaurant in San Rafael called " Sol Food " which has vegan food. It is VERY tiny (about 5 seats inside and 6 outside) but this also means that the menu is small and very dependable. There is a vegan menu option and a daily vegan or vegetarian special. The vegan menu option is pink beans stewed with olives, tomotoes and potatoes over white rice with organic salad, avocado, and your choice of plantains. You can also order options a la carte and there are 4 types of plantains to order. So far we've had the specials of tamales and stew and both were quite good. The staff is very friendly, the food is ready very fast (an advantage of a small space and limited menu) and they're open really late (for San Rafael) until 10 on Fri and Sat. I'm not joking when I say we've been 4 (yes, four!) times this week. So come on down and enjoy! (Or I guess, come on up since most of you live south of us.)
