Guest guest
> I am a trained sushi chef (formally at Minako Organic on Mission and 17th) and currently a chef at Greens restaurant in Fort Mason. Mmmmm.... Sushi is one of my favorite foods! I've taught myself how to do it and it comes out pretty good (although not as good as Cha Ya!) I know we've got some great cooks in the community (both professional and amateurs) as I've tasted some really good food over the years at our Vegan Food Parties. But for folks who are new to veg foods, or just like cooking (or eating, which is me!! I like both), I've often thought it'd be fun to offer cooking demos/workshops where we could exchange practical and useful information in an informal, hands-on setting. It could be a different variation on a Vegan Food Party (i.e. a 'cooking party', more limited in size due to need to coordinate), or something more structured if we could find a cheap/low-cost space. Is there any interest in something like this? As always, the Bay Area Veg events that you see happening all depend on your interests. So if there's an event that you'd like to see happening that isn't, or an event that you'd like to organize, well, just email us!
