Guest guest
Hello again In case you haven’t dropped by in a bit, I just wanted to point out some of the latest things posted to Indybay’s Animal Liberation news and resources section at http://www.indybay.org/animalliberation/… • Just added a new feature tieing together all of the newswire posts on the recent victories and struggles in the fight against foie gras locally and beyond. The only shortcoming of the piece is that I had to use stock photo of a goose and I would have rather used a recent protest/demo photo but none have come in lately (so don’t forget to snap some shots at you veggie/AR actions and post them for all to see). • There’s news on SHAC’s latest actions regarding HLS and a Bay Area vendor they rely on for supplies. • A brief anonymous communiqué from ALF on their release of farmed deer in Monterey County. • A pretty thorough center-column feature pulling together recent posts on the doctors and nutritionists that are speaking out on vegetarianism and health. • Photos and stories from the last round of KFC demos in early January • The latest can always be found in the newswire on the right-hand side of the site: postings from Farm Sanctuary, In Defense of Animals, East Bay Animal Advocates, and others, as well as book reviews, urgent calls for action, essays, and more. • And finally, there’s tons of exciting upcoming events all over the Bay Area and beyond in the Animal Lib calendar at http://www.indybay.org/animalliberation/#calendar Remember that this is an open-publishing website, meaning that if you work with a group and want to raise it’s profile online, to those inside and outside of the usual AR circles, if you have an issue to raise as an individual and want to write about it, if you have photos and/or video of demos you attend, if you run across an email from you favorite group calling for some specific action, if you know of an event other veggies might appreciate the chance to attend, by all means, post it in the newswire or upcoming events calendar. At Indybay, you are the reader and you can also be the media. It's a space for you to learn, get active, and self-publish your articles, photos, audio and video for the world to see. As always, if you need any help making the most of the site, just ask me. Thank you for all your work for the animals. Peace, David http://www.indybay.org/animalliberation/
