DO NOT attend the T. Colin Campbell event on Feb 14!!Tue, 1 Feb 2005 12:10:45 -0800 PLEASE PASS THIS ON!! Hello, friends. I just found out that the February 14th lecture in Oakland by T. Colin Campbell is NOT open to the public. When I received the messages below, I phoned Allison Truman, the contact at the Kaiser Permanente phone number listed in the announcement, to inquire whether reservations were required. She was shocked and dismayed to find out that this announcement has been emailed far and wide to this and other Groups (and who knows where else). As I understand it, Mr. Campbell is appearing at Kaiser for a private meeting, as a favor to a personal colleague. Allison is so concerned that she said she may cancel the gathering altogether. PLEASE, TAKE THE TIME TO FORWARD THIS MESSAGE TO ANYONE WHO MAY HAVE RECEIVED THE IMPRESSION THAT THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Thank you, Laurie Masters, freelance editorPrecision RevisionLaurieM408-289-1011"I turn what you wrote into what you meant!" - sunny_outdoors Wednesday, January 26, 2005 8:44 AM group dinner afterwards===Colin Campbell Feb 14!! I was thinking of getting a small group of friends for an informal dinner around 6pm, where I can discuss my trip in Latin America in a bus powered by vegetable oil. Of course I´ll tell you how I found 11 vegetarian restaurants in San Jose Costa Rica! (not posted on Vegdining!) (can someone try to make some sort of arrangement on where to go for dinner,? it will be crowded that day and traffic will be awlful! BART IT!) Also it´s Valentine´s day, so you guys can be my Valentine that day. local girl makes good find....report:There´s a chain of 10 Veg Restaurant called Vishnu, Even if it´s a Hindu name it´s mostly like healthy veg fast food-McDonalds. It´s doing so well, you can call your order a head of time by phone so you don´t have to wait. Most of the restaurants are small, but I accidentally bumped into their 2 story 300 seat restaurant. They have a daily pre-fixe lunch menu for $3, which includes drink and a healthy fruity dessert. (everything is cheaper in Costa Rica====I think if you are thinking of opening a restaurant, this place is a good place to study. I also have a secret, open a macrobiatic, or healthy veg restaurant across from a hospital or a SPCA animal shelter.Cafe Gratitude is doing well and it´s only l/2 a mile from 2 animal shelters. It gives animal lovers a reminder to be meatless once in a while!! or for LIFE!HOw bout a veg restaurant across from SF General Hospital!?I´ll post to vegdining.com, pls correct me if I¨m wrong, but there´s no vegetarian restaurant posted for San Jose Costa Rica.pls contact me by email, not by phone, thanks, Sunny , Lori Patotzka <patotzka@p...> wrote:> Hey veg friends!
