Guest guest
Mark your calendar for the afternoon of Sunday, Feb. 6 for a very fun concert and dinner afterward! On Sunday at 2:30pm, NorCal TOS will be presenting Dave Wickerham in concert (visiting us all the way from Wisconsin), playing the magnificent Berkeley Community Theater unit orchestra. Come out and hear one of the world's great virtuoso musicians playing 35 tons of all-acoustic musical hardware, assembled and maintained to museum-quality standards by volunteers! The music will be a mix of historical pop, movie music, jazz, symphonic transcriptions, etc. And with Dave Wickerham at the console, you'll swear there's an entire orchestra up there! Berkeley Community Theater: 1930 Allston between MLK Way and Milvia, only 1.5 blocks from the Berkeley Bart Station! To get more people to give our music a listen and learn about Berkeley's hidden musical treasure, NorCal TOS has adoped a 'First Time Free' policy for our public concerts. Simply fill out a coupon to get on the NorCal mailing list and if it's your first time attending one of our concerts, you get in free! And bring all your friends too! I recommend you show up at about 2:20pm at the theater. I'll be hovering near the entrance wearing my fuzzy red scarf to welcome you! After the concert, we'll meet and stroll up Shattuck St. to get a bite and socialize at the Cha Ya vegan sushi place at 1686 Shattuck Ave. in Berkeley (cross street: Virgina). Unique and yummy food. This is an official Bay Area Vegetarians event. See their web site a www.bayareaveg.org, and see their calendar for other fun events. Please contact me (Dave Goggin) for more information -- dg2222 See you there!!!
