question to all on letter writing parties

Hi folks,

BAV has been hosting letter writing parties (LWP) on a regular basis since May. They are currently held in SF twice a month (3rd Thursday and the 3rd Saturday), presently at MaggieMudd's in Bernal Heights.

While we always get letters written at the parties, the number of letter writers has varied, from a low of 2 to a high of 12. I would love to get some feedback from folks as to how we can increase the attendance at these events.

If you've wanted or considered attending, but haven't, why not? Specifically, do you live in a different city (where) or is Bernal Heights too hard to get to?

Would you be interested in attending a LWP in a different venue?

Do you think writing letters is ineffective?

Or do you already write letters at home and don't need to attend a LWP to write letters?

Unfortunately, I'm not among the latter; these letter writing parties have really helped *me* write more letters.... so for those of you who would like to get together with like-minded people to write letters in 2005, please let me know your thoughts/ideas as to what would make it easier for you to attend a letter writing party.

And there's always the Advocacy Rewards Program, which is meant to be a fun way to recognize people's advocacy efforts.
