Guest guest
Hi folks Mark your calendar! The next Bay Area Vegetarians monthly dinner at Shangri-La will be Thursday, January 27th at 6 pm, eat at 6:30 pm. This is a wonderful, mostly vegan, Chinese Restaurant on Irving near 21st in San Francisco, and one of our favorite restaurants. We will be sitting at the two large round tables at the back, which make it easy to share good food and conversations. As the event does sell-out, we really enourage you to RSVP early as we don't like to turn folks away (as we did last month). Shangri-La is one of oldest veg restaurants in SF (in business since 1978) and one of the top-rated restaurants according to customer reviews in the Ultimate Guide, and a winner in last year's Bay Area Veg Restaurant Contest. We have personally selected this menu to share with you: Appetizer: Steamed Dumplings Soup: Shanghai Style Won Ton Soup Entrees: Kung Pao Beef+ Dry Cooked String BeansHome Made Dry Tofu with Vegetarian Pork (aka #40)Pie Pa Tofu Balls with Broccoli Vegetable Chow Mein Spicy Eggplant Mixed Greens Served with Brown Rice, Tea, and after-dinner Fruit + this dish contains an imitation meat It is $15 for this 9-course vegan dinner, tax & tip included. Everyone is welcome to attend, whether you are a veg or non-veg, member or non-member. Space is limited so please send payment now to reserve your seat at our special dinner. You'll find payment details on the dinner page at:http://www.bayareaveg.org/sfdinner.htm If you read this far, we hope you'll be joining us... and if you are one of the first 5 people to RSVP, we have a great book to share with you -- "Personal Care for People Who Care", produced by the National Anti-Vivisection Society, is 189 pages of information on cruelty-free products and living. Just ask us to bring a copy for you. Shangri-La is accessible by public transit! Muni bus 71 or the N-Judah. Please visit the muni website ( http://www.sfmuni.com ) or call them between 8 am and 6 pm for helpful planning advice from a **real** person. As always, please bring your friends and join us, or come join us to meet new friends. Cheers,Tammy & ChrisBay Area Vegetarians
