Guest guest
>Join Bay Area Vegetarians on Saturday Dec. 4th at 6:30>for the first of a new monthly dinner outing at>International Vegetarian House in downtown San Jose!Bob inspired all the monthly dinners that BAV now has with his New World dinner :-) which led to the dinners hosted by Sean, Dave, and Chris & myself.. and the ripple effect now includes Candance & Nancy with the South Bay dinner. (All details are on the event calendar, link below)Hey.. now that we have volunteers organizing BAV dinners in SF, East Bay, Peninsula, South Bay, anyone want to organize one in the North Bay ? :-)Just FYI, anyone is welcome/encouraged to organize a dinner/event for BAV. We've got info and some tips on our website or just email us...Usually the dinners are very social in nature.. but often social events can be supportive, too. Usually vegetarians who are new to the Bay Area or new to vegetarianism appreciate the opportunity to meet others... as do long-time denizens who simply enjoy the veggie fellowship. At one BAV outing, a vegan bride who was planning a wedding to a non-vegan wanted a vegan wedding but wasn't sure.. And of course if you ask a bunch of vegans/vegetarians, we'll say "It's only one day / one meal"... While our support wasn't a key factor to the wedding becoming vegan (it was more likely the relationship the bride & groom have with each other), we did give helpful support to the bride in her vegan perspective.
