Guest guest
I found a vegan fruit cake recipe online and it calls for "wholemeal flour." I'm not sure what this is, although, I read (also online) that the British call whole wheat - wholemeal. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks a bunch! Guest guest
Hi Moya Yes, wholemeal and whole wheat flour are the same. A few years ago I got a craving for a British Xmas cake (everyone else ready really fruity fruit cake). I adapted the "Applce Sauce Cake" recipe from Jennifer Raymond's Peaceful Palate, and added a stack of dried fruit. Yum!
