Guest guest
If you've wondered what becomes of animals that are taken from neglectful or abusive situations, or where a no-kill shelter surrenders animals it can't handle . . .let us tell you about the rewards and trails of working with our specialty. . . rescued exotic birds (parrots). There is literally an epidemic of abused and neglected parrots, which is perplexing since these marvelous vegetarians are exquisitely gentle and affectionate with someone they come to trust. We bring many of our rescued permanent sanctuary birds to elementary schools throughout the Bay area and surrounds to teach about ecology, animal behavior and to build respect for living things. The kids always love it and truly the rescue stories of these birds are an excellent means to make the point. Annually we try to raise funds to provide for the school shows and to keep our Center's birds fed, healthy and attented. It's a special task and we need support. If you'd like to learn about rescue of these brilliant and long lived gentle creatures or about our programs please referr to our website: http://www.wondertainment.com/rescue.htm If you find our work worthwhile please consider whatever support you can offer.
