Guest guest
11 of us met for dinner at Golden Era before Fur Free Friday and shared a bunch of appetizers and desserts. If you like the fake meats, in my opinion, Golden Era is one of the best places to go -- try the carmelized "chicken" or the teriyaki "salmon". It was reasonably priced too. Dave is organizing a BAV dinner on Thursday 12/9 at Golden Era. Group dinners are a wonderful way to try a wide selection of foods while sharing veggie fellowship. http://www.bayareaveg.org/events.php?EID=523#523 If you'd like to share your opinion of Golden Era (or any other restaurant), I'd encourage you to write a review and post it in the Ultimate Guide. Here's the link to Golden Era: http://www.bayareaveg.org/ug/display.htm?id=9 For those who missed the FFF vigil in SF, my guesstimate was about 50 people showed up. It was crowded with shoppers and people gathering for the tree lighting. With such an effort to actually reach Union Square, we joked that we felt like veggie salmon swimming upstream. After we left the FFF vigil, we went to MaggieMudd's for vegan ice cream and sundaes. I have only 3 words about MaggieMudd: Peanut Butter Palooka. FYI, some of the vegan ice cream flavors are now being sold at grocery stores, like Rainbow Grocery and I think Other Avenues. Michael (the owner) is looking to get the flavors into more stores, and he told us that he is only selling the vegan flavors at the stores. http://www.bayareaveg.org/ug/display.htm?id=126 Cheers, Tammy Bay Area Veg -- food, fun & fellowship -- http://www.BayAreaVeg.org
