Guest guest
Thanksgiving and the way it is celebrated brings out a lot of mixed feeling, depending on one's social, political, animal rights priorities. In addition to being sorry for the animals, this one makes me feel sorry for the future of those high schoolers: " Bowling with Frozen Turkeys " CBS5.com Staff A frozen turkey is almost as hard as a bowling ball -- but how would it really fare at the local lanes? Some high school students and local politicians found out in Fremont Thursday. They bowled with frozen turkeys to raise money for hungry families. Robertson High School hopes to buy 1282 birds with the money raised from the Turkey Bowl. Since 1990, the school has donated more than 6300 turkeys to the Tri-City Volunteers and is the largest single holiday turkey contributor to the group.
