" My mom's coming into town on Thanksgiving day, & I want to take her out to a vegan (or at least vegetarian & very vegan-friendly), but traditional-style, Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant in SF or within an hour's drive. "

I know New World Vegetarian restaurant in Oakland is open on Thanksgiving and serves a special dinner. I recall hearing that last year's dinner was about $20 or $25 and quite filling/delicious, but I can't recall the details of what was being served. (I've never gone personally.)

If you're open for cooking, I'd say for the best traditional Thanksgiving, go to one of the BAV Vegan Food Parties :-) In SF, Kim is hosting one in the Castro area. See event calendar for details.

friendly. i would call in advance to find out what they're serving.

Herbivore's closed; Millenium's $60/person ( & probably not traditional); Sparks,

which I've never been to, is 1 1/2 hours from SF according to its website. Any

suggestions?
