11/18 or 11/20, SF, Ice Cream & Letter Writing Parties

Hi folks!

Concerned about animal cruelty? Want to help animals? Then join us for this month's letter writing parties! Writing handwritten letters is an easy and effective way to be a voice for the animals. We typically write letters encouraging vegetarian foods, animal friendly legislation, overall vegetarian awareness as well as letters promoting compassion to animals to state/county officials, legislatiors, and businesses.

We've got two parties, during the week and on the weekend.

Both letter writing parties are held at MaggieMudd, an ice cream restaurant in Bernal Heights. They have an excellent selection of frozen vegan treats. ( I highly recommend Peanut Butter Palooka )http://www.bayareaveg.org/ug/display.htm?id=126

We will be in the back at one or two of the tables eating vegan ice cream and doing the write thing.

It's helpful if you can also bring:-pen and paper-envelopes-name of your State and federal legislators (see http://www.vote-smart.org )-veg or AR topics to write on, or use the ones we provide

So if you're a new or regular letter writer, we hope you will join us! You are welcome to bring along non-veg friends, too, as most of the issues are ones that even non-veg people who care about animals would be concerned about.
