Guest guest
Ex-Junkyard Dog Seeks New Home J.D. is a male black Lab mix who just had his first hug, went on his first walk, discovered how grass felt and smelled, and slept indoors on a soft pad for the first time this week. He is middle aged but has been living a life of isolation and boredom since he was a puppy as a 'junkyard dog' in a Half Moon Bay boatyard. Despite numerous calls throughout the years by concerned residents, especially when he was left without food and water over holiday weekends, the boatyard owners refused to improve conditions and local animal control refused to act. The middle-aged lab knew that a better life was waiting for him, dug out of the yard, and was spotted and taken to a foster by one of his local 'friends'. He is a friendly and very affectionate 85 lb. dog who is already a good walker and is responding to simple commands. He doesn't know what a toy is yet, or how to play with one, and would love to have a nice guardian to show him all of the fun he has been missing! If you can open your heart and home to J.D., please call Tom at 1-800-324-0261. --- East Bay Animal Advocates P.O.
