As you know, the cats and dogs in Iams’ laboratory experiments deserve the same life that our cats and dogs at home deserve: companionship, play, a stimulating environment, and the right not to be tormented in painful experiments. Instead, cats and dogs used in Iams’ tests circle endlessly in lonely barren cells; sick cats and dogs are left to languish in their cages with no veterinary care; and none of the animals ever experience the love of a family or home. Advances in nutrition don’t have to come at the expense of animals in laboratories, and you can make a difference! Please join us for a caged “dog” caged “cat” demo on Monday, October 11, from noon to 2 pm at the intersection of Powel & Market St. We’ll be providing leaflets and posters, so please just bring yourself, your friends, your family, and anyone else you can find. Additionally, we are seeking volunteers to sit in a cage in a “prison” uniform wearing a dog or cat mask. Please contact local organizer Kimberley Cusson at crossply219k or 415-661-1732 if you can attend. Just a few hours from your day will make a tremendous difference and tell Iams that the egregious cruelty that it inflicts on animals will not be tolerated. Please check out IamsCruelty.com to learn more about the campaign. Thanks—we hope to see you there!
