Guest guest
Hello all, I'm sure most of you remember the recent case of Lucky, the rabbit who was duct-taped to explosives and thrown in an East Bay lake. The two men who committed this crime, Nicholas Sigmon (Case #376959A) and Paul Collins (Case# 376959B), have not settled yet. The pre-trial hearing is scheduled for this Friday, September 24, at 9:30 am. You can still help Lucky in two ways: 1. Call Hayward Deputy District Attorney Roy Scheingart ASAP at 510-670-5100. Ask that he prosecute this case to the full extent of the law. Many of you have already called, and your compassion has made a difference. However, even if you have called, please do so again - it's important to have one final push before the hearing. And if you haven't called, please do so, for both Lucky and the countless other abused animals just like her. 2. Attend the pre-trial hearing for Lucky's case Friday at 9:30 to demonstrate that animal cruelty is inexcusable and warrants judicial action. Hayward Municipal Court 24405 Amador Street 1st floor - Dept 501 First courtroom on the left. Friday 9/24 - 9:30 A.M. If you plan on attending the hearing, you will want to call the DA's office Thursday afternoon at 510.670.5100 to verify that the hearing is still scheduled. There is still a chance that the case may be settled before Friday, so please check before attending. On Lucky's behalf, thank you so much.
