In its place is Mother Nature VegetarianCuisine, a completely vegan Chinese and Malaysianrestaurant at the same location and same phone number. The owners are Malaysian cousins, several women withmany years of experience cooking and serving vegan meals. They use no GMO ingredients, no MSG, and no cannedfood. As Buddhists, they also cook without the use ofgarlic or onion, and sadly for those who enjoy a coldbeer with a spicy dish, do not serve alcoholicbeverages. Brown rice is available and will be requested for this meal. The Pine Nut and Seaweed FriedRice, Mushroom Rollover, House Salad, and Stringbeanand Gluten Puff in Bean Sauce were particularlygood--nice flavors, colors, and presentation. The owners are friendly, knowledgable about vegandining, and eager to introduce themselves to thevegetarian community.Look forward to seeing new faces as well as those whohave attended the Third Sunday of the month New WorldVegetarian Restaurant dinners in Oakland.See you there!
