Guest guest
Hi all Just want to give you an update on the letter writing party. There were 4 writers in attendance; we wrote on a wide variety of topics, from urging the Governor to approve pro-animal legislation, to local officials regarding pending cruelty cases and wildlife issues, to businesses, etc. We generated over 20 letters, and enjoyed some good ice cream at the same time. As a reminder, the BAV letter writing parties are the 3rd Thursday of the month, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm at MaggieMudd in SF. You can always find the details for this event, and many others, on our event calendar at http://www.bayareaveg.org/events.php We would love to get a few more writers to join us for next month's on Thurs 10/21 (mark your calendar!). Writing personal, handwritten letters is a very easy way to help the animals. We provide the topics and current info. Plus your participation makes you eligible for prizes in our Advocacy Rewards Program! http://www.bayareaveg.org/arp.htm If anyone would like a personal reminder about the next letter-writing party sent to them prior to the event, please email me. If anyone would like to start a letter-writing party in the East Bay, please let me know! About MaggieMudd's -- try the Peanut Butter Palooka (it's one of their yummy vegan flavors)! The owner also mentioned he is looking for part-time help, and would love to employ some vegans.
