Veggie Canoe trip near Guerneville, Sunday, Sept. 26th

Hey folks, let's celebrate the beginning of autumn with a beautiful canoe trip down the Russian River near Guerneville. We'll meet at 10:30 a.m at the Burkes Canoe site on the Russian river, and enjoy a gorgeous 10 mile canoe ride, during which we'll stop along the way, frolic, swim, have lunch and share delicious vegan snacks. You can learn more about the trip and get maps etc, by visiting Burkes' website at http://www.burkescanoetrips.com . Cost for the trip will be $25 per person, with a limit of 12 people. Canoes, life-jackets, a short paddling lesson, and a shuttle back to our cars is provided in the cost. You must know how to swim however to join the trip. I'll send out more info on what to bring, etc, as the event approaches. Optional dinner stop at Spark's vegan restaurant in Guerneville afterwards, for those so inclined. If you'd like to join this trip, please RSVP to me directly by Monday, Sept 13th, as I need to reserve the canoes well in advance. You can bring a check payable to me on the day of the trip (or cash), however cancellations cannot be accepted after Sept. 14th as the canoes are paid for in advance (by me).

 

Hopefully we'll get a nice group out on the water to admire the redwoods, egrets, herons, possibly river otters, beautiful scenery, and great company with fellow veg*ns!! I hope you can make it!
