Guest guest
Is it just me or are there more and more steakhouses popping up like weeds that desperately need pulling (or at the very least leafletted)? Does anyone know if PETA or any other animal rights group has a campaign against Steak Houses? We have a Alexander's Steak House moving in to Cupertino, ironically, across from a former Fresh Choice. Ugh! Just thinking about the cows that will be slaughtered to satiate the unconscious population's appetite makes me ill. Love this PETA campaign: Meat causes Alzheimer's http://www.goveg.com/feat/alzheimers/ Non-violence leads to the highest ethics, which is the goal of all evolution. Until we stop harming all other living beings, we are still savages. Leafleting sounds like a great idea Clyde!! To leaflet at a restaurant doesn't take a large crowd. PETA (and many other groups) are very supportive and will provide free literature, etc. to help with leafleting. Sometimes all it takes is for one person to start it off, and others will follow. Or even if they don't, one individual can make a big difference. Remember the quote from Margaret Mead: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.” Plus, you can get a stack of points for leafleting from our Advocacy Rewards Program too ... and even more points as an organizer! But PETA has a few different web sites that might have more info for you -- http://www.animalactivist.com/ http://www.cowsarecool.com/ Cheers, Tammy
