Guest guest
I'd like to offer some quick (because I've got to sleep) ideas, by way of offering at least moral support. First, get a second opinion. Like from someone who also uses alternative modalities (eg: acupuncture, homeopathy,...). There aren't so many of those vets, but there are some. If you have trouble finding one you're welcome to e-mail me and I'll try to help, but I doubt that you'll need to. Remember that no vet is perfect. Another person may see something, know something, think of something that the first one didn't. In reference to possibly euthanizing - I encourage you to, as best you can, imagine what you might want for yourself if you were experiencing life as Codi is. Not with a quick decision. See if you can meditate in " Codi consciousness " for awhile. And then try just being with him, see if you get any sense from him in the context of what he's ready for. I hope something I've said is of some help to you. I've been through the lives, and ends of life, of several cats, a friend's dog, and five rabbits coming up (although they've hopefully got several years left). All of them were loved; and while it's hard to go through this when you love this being, which it sounds like you do, I think you'll feel the best after whatever happens if you know that you gave Codi the best you could. Dr. Richard Pitcairn's book, Natural Health for Dogs and Cats, discusses diet, supplements, and homeopathic remedies in reference to epilepsy. He also discusses making a choice about euthanasia. Good luck, Angie. I wish you well in this challenge.
