Guest guest
My name is Angie. I have a pug named Codi (he will be 4 years old in December) and I think he might have epilepsy. Just a month ago, he had a seizure and the vet said he had epilepsy and prescribed him some medicine. For the past couple of weeks, Codi's condition went from bad to worse. He has seizures, he does not eat or drink and he doesn't pee or poop. My sister (his legal guardian) thinks he might have had a stroke because he can't walk. It's like he lost all feeling in his legs; he tries to get up then his legs buckle. My family has to carry him around everywhere. He's not his usual lively self. Since he's dehydrated, his nose and fur is all dried out. I seriously think he's in a lot of pain, but can't voice it. He's starting to cry and whimper a lot. My family is thinking about putting him to sleep. I don't know what to do about that. I would love to ease his pain, but I think it's too soon for that. I'm thinking maybe he might get better later on, but I don't know. What should I do and what's the most humane thing to do?
