8/28 Benefit Dinner: The Bureau of Humane Law Enforcement

Greetings:

 

I am pleased to announce the formation of the Bureau of Humane Law

Enforcement (BHLE). Established in Spring 2004, BHLE is a

California-based organization devoted to defending all animals through

the law. BHLE aims to protect companion, wild and farmed animals

throughout the Golden State. BHLE's team of compassionate volunteers

will work in partnership with local humane organizations and

city/county/state enforcement agencies to prevent animal cruelty and

neglect. Currently, BHLE has three humane officers trained for

investigative/rescue field work. In order for BHLE to start helping

animals in California, approximately $8,000 needs to be raised.
