Hi folks! I saw the movie "The Story of the Weeping Camel" yesterday at the Balboa theatre. I would like to recommend this movie. It's a semi-documentary type depiction of this village in Mongolia, where the villagers raise camels and goats and live in pretty rugged conditions. It's quite a beautiful look at the people and their lifestyle, and the plot centers around a mother camel who gives birth to a rare white colt, but then basically rejects the newborn, refusing to let him feed, etc. The villagers make various attempts to get the mother to accept her child, without much success, until finally they decide to try a unique ritual in this effort. It's not necessarily a "vegan movie", in that the villagers drink hot spiced goat milk (like chai I suppose), sheer wool off of one camel, etc, but it is very affectionate, respectful, and a sweet story, as well as a wonderful glimpse into this culture. Check it out if you get the

chance.
