House Rabbit Society on NBC Channel 1--TONIGHT

Hi everyone,

 

Just wanted to let you know that HRS will be featured briefly tonight on

NBC Channel 11 at either 5pm or 6pm. Marcy Schaaf, Chapter

Manager of SaveABunny, the SF/ Marin HRS, was interviewed by the media

for comment on a Craigslist posting regarding cruelty to a rabbit.

 

The story, which is under investigation by the police and animal control

officers from San Leandro and San Francisco Animal Care and Control, is

about a rabbit who was allegedly tied to explosives and thrown in the

water in San Leandro. Pictures posted to LiveJournal.com and Craigslist

were subsequently pulled. Outraged and concerned citizens have been

flooding the internet and local media demanding that the story be

investigated by police and charges filed if the situation is determined

to be accurate. At this point, we do not know what has actually

happened to the rabbit.

 

We will send out postings letting you know about the situation as we

learn more, and if there is anything that you can do. In the meantime,

you can find out more by watching Channel 11 tonight.
